Comprehensive, compassionate reform with a pathway to citizenship for undocumented residents, fair treatment of immigrants, and asylum claims processed fairly and efficiently.
Ending the detention and deportation system that lets corporations profit off family separation and cruelty. Immigration reform must also protect workers and prevent exploitation. Corporations too often exploit a broken system to create a workforce vulnerable to abuse, wage theft, and unsafe conditions. That hurts all workers.
Every worker, regardless of their birth place, deserves fair pay, safe conditions, and full protection of labor laws. We should never let businesses profit by creating a second class workforce, paying immigrants below market rate or using immigration status to silence workers.
A fair immigration system and a strong labor movement go hand in hand. America is strongest when we protect human dignity, uphold the rule of law and ensure that every worker competes on a level playing field.
Yes.
Climate change is already imposing enormous costs on families, businesses, and governments. In Florida, we see it through rising insurance prices, rent, infrastructure damage, agricultural losses, and increased healthcare costs. Too often hurricanes result in working people being pushed out of their neighborhoods, while big developers buy up land at a low cost and turn it over for a profit. No one should profit off of human suffering ever.
Climate change is not simply an environmental issue. It is an economic issue, a housing issue, an insurance issue, and a public health issue. Failing to address climate change will cost far more than investing in resilience, clean energy, modern infrastructure, and disaster preparedness today. Investing in resilient infrastructure will also create millions of jobs for Americans.
1. Medicare for all
2. Stopping corporations from causing excessive price spikes in groceries, fuel, and essential goods to pad their bottom lines.
Freedom of speech means that everyone has the right to express their opinions, beliefs, criticisms, and ideas without fear of government censorship or retaliation. It protects political dissent, journalism, religious expression, peaceful protest, artistic expression, and the free exchange of ideas that make democracy possible. Freedom of speech is one of the foundations of a free society because it allows people to challenge those in power, advocate for change, and engage in public debate.
The Constitution establishes a system of checks and balances. Congress has the authority and responsibility to oversee federal agencies because it creates laws, appropriates funding, and serves as an independent check on executive power.
The President manages and directs the executive branch on a day-to-day basis, but congressional oversight is essential to ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with the law. Our democracy functions best when both branches fulfill their constitutional responsibilities.
Every eligible citizen should be able to exercise their constitutional right to vote without facing unreasonable financial or bureaucratic barriers.
If documentary proof of citizenship becomes required, I would support federal funding to ensure eligible citizens can obtain birth certificates, marriage certificates, passport records, and other qualifying documents at little or no cost. I would also support streamlined administrative processes, mobile document assistance programs, online verification systems where appropriate, and special accommodations for women whose names have changed through marriage or divorce.
Voting rights should never depend on a person’s income, geographic location, or ability to navigate complicated government systems. Our responsibility should be making it easier for eligible citizens to vote, not harder.
The federal government should ensure every person, regardless of where they are born or their family's income, has access to quality education and a secure future. This means expanding universal early childhood education. Childcare and early learning are foundational investments, not luxuries. It means strengthening public K-12 schools, investing in teachers, and closing funding gaps between communities, so a child's ZIP code doesn't determine their opportunities. Public education, including school meals, should be completely free. Schools should expand access to college-level coursework and dual enrollment. Public colleges and universities should be tuition free. We should expand trade schools and workforce training, with living stipends. We should invest more in education than incarceration. Education is a public good, not a privilege. A skilled, educated workforce strengthens our economy, increases innovation and helps ensure everyone has a chance to reach their full potential.

As an immigrant refugee myself, I am staunchly pro-immigration reform. I oppose efforts to expand inhumane immigration detention that treats all undocumented as criminals and dangers to society. A system that swiftly and fairly adjudicates immigration status aligns with the U.S. Constitution's expectation of speedy trials. I believe that existing asylum laws are broadly functional and permit asylum seekers access to the U.S. I loathe the policies of family separation and seriously question the policy of family detention that equates to collective punishment, including the innocent. I will always support those coming to this country for a better life, and I will proudly vote for and cosponsor legislation that creates a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, Temporary Protected Status holders, and essential workers. We need clear and fair immigration systems, while also preserving border security that assures U.S. national security.
The cost of homeowners insurance and utilities are skyrocketing, in part, due to environmental factors. In the Senate, I will fight to lower these costs and ensure everyday Floridians get much-needed relief from the affordability crisis my opponent, Ashley Moody, has created.
Lowering costs for Floridians is my top priority. As I travel the state to meet voters, everybody tells me that life is unaffordable in our state. We need to lower the cost of housing, groceries, insurance, and health care. I also plan to fight the political corruption catering to special interests that is responsible for this affordability crisis.
Freedom of Speech means that all Americans have the right to express opinions, ideas, and their beliefs without being censored, sanctioned, or silenced by the government. As someone who called out corruption at the highest level, I know that We the People are the ultimate check on power.
The President has the right to appoint Cabinet secretaries and agency heads, and serves as the chief of the executive branch. Congress has the right – and responsibility – to establish agencies, control their funding, and conduct legislative oversight to ensure federal agencies are serving the American people and not wasting taxpayer dollars. One of the major reasons costs are skyrocketing is because Senators like my opponent have abdicated their responsibility to rein in the Executive Branch on matters such as tariffs; in the U.S. Senate, I will reassert Congress’ Article I authority and fight to lower costs and hold corrupt politicians accountable.
Only U.S. citizens should be able to vote in U.S. elections. In the U.S. Senate, I will oppose any legislation that disenfranchises eligible U.S. citizens from participating in our democracy. If there is red tape preventing eligible U.S. citizens from voting in elections, including women, my job as a U.S. Senator will be to cut this red tape and make sure any citizen who is eligible to vote has easy and affordable access to documents proving their citizenship and eligibility to vote.
The federal government should ensure that there is enough funding at the pre-school level, K-12 level, and in higher education so that students, teachers, and families have the resources they need to succeed.
