A Township Trustee acts as the executive of a township to provide essential local services. Their primary responsibilities include administering emergency poor relief/township assistance, ensuring fire protection, managing township finances (budgeting, paying claims), and maintaining cemeteries and parks.
An opportunity to serve my neighbors and the community I have lived in for over twenty years. Throughout my professional career, I have managed complex budgets with diligence and care, ensuring taxpayer dollars are handled transparently, efficiently, and responsibly. I understand that public trust is earned through accountability and results. As a longtime educator and dedicated public servant, I have built my career on responsible leadership and service to my community.
In my role as a township trustee I would be an active participant with the Indiana Township Trustee Association. Through this association I would be aware of what is being done at the federal and state level to better prepare Clear Creek Township on what the future holds for us. The Association would also allow me to meet other trustees across the state and learn the best ways to utilize the limited funds with the loss of revenue to the townships.
Clear Creek Township can act as the "safety net" for qualified residents by providing emergency aid for necessities like rent, mortgage, utilities, food, and burial assistance. Clear Creek is also fortunate to have two food banks that support many individuals and families.
