The most pressing challenges facing our country are rising costs for families, political polarization that prevents practical solutions, and growing economic insecurity in many communities. Families are struggling with housing costs, healthcare expenses, and food insecurity, even in communities that appear prosperous.
We must restore fiscal discipline, invest in infrastructure and education, and support policies that strengthen small businesses and job creation. I believe Congress should focus on practical solutions that improve economic opportunity, strengthen communities, and ensure that government works responsibly and transparently for the people it serves.
Reducing the cost of living must be a national priority. Families in our district are facing rising housing costs, property taxes, healthcare expenses, and everyday household prices.
I support policies that strengthen small businesses, encourage responsible fiscal management, and expand workforce opportunities so families can earn stable incomes. We should invest in infrastructure, support innovation and job growth, and pursue policies that reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens while protecting consumers. Long-term economic stability requires responsible budgeting, sustainable economic growth, and policies that allow families to build financial security.
Healthcare should be affordable, accessible, and understandable for families. Too many people delay care because of cost or difficulty navigating the system.
I support increasing transparency in healthcare pricing, expanding access to mental health services, and encouraging innovative care models that improve coordination between providers. We should also invest in mental health services and community-based support so individuals and families can receive care before problems become crises. Strengthening preventive care and improving system navigation will help lower costs while improving health outcomes.
Our immigration system must be fair, orderly, and consistent with the rule of law while respecting the dignity of people and families. Congress should work toward comprehensive immigration reform that strengthens border security, improves the legal immigration process, and provides clear and efficient pathways for those who qualify to live and work in our country.
Federal immigration enforcement is primarily a federal responsibility. Local and state governments should be able to focus on public safety and community services while cooperating with federal authorities in ways that protect communities and maintain trust.
Reproductive healthcare is a deeply personal issue for many Americans and one that requires thoughtful and respectful public discussion. I believe individuals should have access to safe and legal healthcare services while ensuring that medical decisions are made in consultation with healthcare professionals.
Federal and state governments both have roles in shaping healthcare policy, but it is important that policies respect individual rights, protect patient safety, and reflect the diverse views of communities. My goal is to support policies that promote access to quality healthcare while encouraging constructive dialogue.
Strong public schools are essential to the success of our communities and the future of our country. At the same time, homeowners in many New Jersey communities face significant property tax burdens tied to local school funding.
Federal policy can support equitable education by investing in programs that help districts with greater needs while encouraging transparency and accountability in education spending. We should support policies that strengthen teacher development, improve educational resources, and promote long-term financial sustainability so schools remain strong without placing excessive financial strain on local taxpayers.
