To respond to each death, other than under doctor care, investigate and determine the manner of death. Those options are natural, homicide, suicide, accident or undetermined.
Working in the funeral industry for many years, I saw and cared for hundreds of decedents. I started from the bottom up starting in transporting. I wanted to learn every detail from the bottom up; to appreciate and respect that position. I have a passion to serve the families and provide them with clear answers. That requires attention to detail, thorough investigation working hand in hand with law enforcement.
I want to learn about and from the deputy coroners. There are a few cases that families have brought to my attention and have asked me to re-evaluate. With permission from law enforcement, I would like to do that. A new set of eyes on things is never a bad idea.
