The Sheriff is responsible for protecting the safety and rights of all residents in the county. This includes managing the county jail, providing law enforcement services in unincorporated areas, serving court papers, transporting inmates, and working with local, state, and federal agencies. The Sheriff also oversees the department’s budget, personnel, and policies, ensuring operations are legal, ethical, and transparent while maintaining public trust and accountability.
I bring experience in leadership, administration, budgeting, and community engagement. I have served on multiple boards and in executive roles where I managed people, resources, and public programs. I am a licensed mental health paraprofessional, giving me insight into crisis response, de-escalation, and community-based solutions. My background in marketing and organizational leadership equips me to modernize operations, improve communication, and build strong partnerships that support both public safety and transparency.
My first priority will be improving transparency and communication between the Sheriff’s Office and the public. I will establish regular community town halls, publish clear reports on department operations, and create accessible ways for residents to ask questions and share concerns. By opening communication and involving the community in problem-solving, we can build trust, identify real needs, and ensure the department serves the people effectively and fairly.
