A sheriff's duties are pretty broad and vital for a county. Enforce state and local laws, investigate crimes, make arrests, respond to emergencies, and handle traffic enforcement.
Effective leadership is about more than just giving orders, it's about inspiring and empowering the dedicated men and women of the department. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of leading teams, mentoring new officers, and developing strategies to tackle complex challenges. I understand how to manage resources effectively, make tough decisions under pressure, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability. As Sheriff, I will bring this experience to the forefront, ensuring our department is not only responsive to today
First, we will be relentless in pursuing and prosecuting the traffickers bringing poison like fentanyl into our community. We'll cut off the source.

Second, for crimes like theft that are driven by addiction, we have to break the cycle. We'll use the time people are in our custody to get them into effective, mandatory treatment programs.

When we break the addiction, we stop the crime that feeds it. It’s a tough and smart approach that will deliver real, lasting safety.
