What specific policies would you support to lower the cost of living in Indiana—such as property taxes, housing costs, and utility bills—and how would those policies affect funding for schools and local services?

What role should the state play in making healthcare more affordable?

How should Indiana balance funding between traditional public schools, charter schools, and voucher programs, and what changes would you make to improve student outcomes?

What policies do you believe would most effectively improve public safety in Indiana, and how should lawmakers balance enforcement, civil liberties, and community trust?

How should Indiana pursue economic growth—such as attracting tech companies or data centers—and what policies should guide the state’s approach to energy costs and environmental impacts?

If you could pass only one major piece of legislation during your first term in the Indiana General Assembly, what would it be, and how would you pay for it or implement it?

Candidate Statement I am proud to be the only elected Republican candidate in the primary for Indiana State Senate District 31. As a veteran and current At-Large Fishers City Councilor, I have been accountable to a broad and diverse group of voters and have built a record of conservative leadership, responsible decision-making, and service to our community. On the Fishers City Council, I have been part of a team that has helped attract businesses and high-wage jobs by supporting economic development incentives, infrastructure investments, and responsible growth that strengthens our local economy. These efforts have helped bring companies in life sciences, technology, finance, and advanced manufacturing to our community while maintaining a high quality of life for residents. If elected, my top priorities will be responsible property tax relief, strong public safety, and education that prepares our students for the future.

I will work to: reduce/eliminate property taxes for Hoosiers over 70 years of age with a primary residence less than $100,000 in value--working to keep more money in their pocket. The argument for the policy is that it helps seniors on fixed incomes stay in their homes while having minimal statewide fiscal impact because the eligibility pool is small and highly targeted. The loss of revenue can be recouped via closing fraud and waste in government contracts, redirecting revenue growth, or reimbursement from the state's general fund. During times of economic instability, we need to ensure we have mechanisms in play to stabilize the price of gas--increase reserves, suspend the gas tax. The price of fuel is the top contributor to affordability.
I believe the state can make healthcare more affordable by: Expand telehealth options, Increase price transparency, Strengthen consumer protection, and Expand workforce supply by recruiting more international doctors, Incentivize and create more pathways for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. I also believe we need to cultivate a healthier culture--increase walkability, reduce food deserts, promote mental hygiene.
My daughter attended a charter school through 8th grade and finished her education at a Catholic High School. I believe 80% of the per student allocated funds should follow the student. I believe all schools should be held to the same standards of education--reading proficiency, no chronic absenteeism, and ensuring students are on a career path at graduation--enrollment, enlistment or engaging in the trades. We must be all in to ensure reading proficiency by third grade, combat chronic absenteeism and ensure students are on a pathway to make a meaning full living. Enrolling in college, Enlisting in the military, or Engage in the trades.
I would work to improve public safety by standardizing procedures for traffic stops by inserting new language in the Driver's Education Curriculum. Traffic stops are the most dangerous duty officers perform and we need to ensure young and old drivers are adequately and safely prepared for these interactions. This small change will save lives by simply educating the public.

I would implement by working with the BMV to educate drivers and adding the update to the state-wide marketing campaigns.
