The Recorder’s Office operates entirely on the fees generated from copies and recorded documents. It is my responsibility to manage the office within established budget guidelines while ensuring the accurate preservation of Hamilton County’s records.
A top priority is ensuring that all records are accurately indexed and readily accessible to the public. This includes the ongoing effort to back-index historical records, helping to make as many documents as possible available and easy to search.
One of my greatest strengths is customer service, and I have a genuine passion for serving the community. Even when I’m unable to provide the exact answer someone is hoping for, treating individuals with kindness and making every effort to assist them goes a long way. Navigating county government can be challenging, with its many departments and processes, but my 24 years of experience in county government allows me to effectively guide and support individuals in finding the help they need.
Protecting sensitive and personally identifiable information within public records is an ongoing challenge. There are specific statutes our office must follow, and we are committed to exercising due diligence to ensure full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
I have proudly served in the Recorder’s Office for over 11½ years, in addition to nearly 12 years in the IT Department. Throughout my career, I have actively participated in professional workgroups such as PRIA and IGov to stay at the forefront of industry developments. I remain committed to continuing these efforts by improving processes and enhancing the overall efficiency of our office.
