Why do you want to be a School Board Member, and what qualifications and experience make you the best candidate?
What issues do you believe are the most pressing for the School Board to address in the next term?
How do you distinguish the role of a school board member from that of the administration, for example the superintendent and curriculum coordinator?
Simply put, I want to help the district continue to improve across all levels. I taught 5th grade for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee for 7 years and worked towards my masters degreein Educational Administration. 22 years ago I had a career pivot and moved back home to Port to persue a career in real estate. I have 4 children ages 13-17. My 2 oldest are at Port High, and my 2 youngest are at St. John 23rd Catholic School. I have spent 8-10 years on both the finance and school advisory committee of St Johns. I believe the way to make things better is through service.
Not sure, as I will need to listen to the various stakeholders and the issues that are brought forth. I do not come with any preconceived agenda, other than to serve.
I view my role as a school board member is to put the district administration and staff in the best position possible to succeed while also being responsible to the taxpayers of the district, as well as providing some oversight.
