The Smackover Norphlet school district is trending in the right direction. Under the leadership of Superintendent Smith the culture has shifted and the leadership has taken a step in the right direction. Our letter grades are up and increasing and that is all due to the hard work of our teachers and students. With the support of administration, it’s hard to see a scenario where these trends do not continue with our current team. It is important that we finish what we started with the implementation of Mr. Smith’s plan.
We have a great team that is focused on goals that will continue to keep us on trend. Our district needs to do a better job of encouraging involvement with our district and processes. At this time we have very little community involvement as it relates to our district meetings and discussions. Our focus should always be empowering our administration, teachers, and students to reach their full potential. That, and reaching out to our community so they have the tools to help us stay on track. This includes, but is not limited to, facts on the ground and a plan for the future. SNSD is a great district. We’ll continue the work to remain a place people want to learn and grow.
