I'm running to keep using my six years of experience on the Council and four years as Transportation Committee chair to benefit residents of the 11th District and the entire City. I've also chaired the Aldermanic Selection Committee and served on the Civic Celebration Commission for 12 years. Other experience includes founding the Tosa Trojans Baseball Club and serving on the board of the Steve Cullen Healthy Heart Run.
Major issues include public safety, so we need to collaborate with police, fire and first responders for high quality and efficient service. We need to seek to reduce resident property tax burden while providing necessary services. Finally, we need balanced development between commercial and residential projects.
Our previous City surveys show that a large majority of residents are overwhelmingly satisfied with our services. So, we will continue to build on our success while focusing on continuous improvement wherever possible. I will use my strong relationships with City staff and community resources to further benefit the new district 11.
I've supported our efforts to provide solar panels for City buildings and facilities that are cost-efficient and self-supporting over time.
I've supported our efforts to reduce reckless driving and authored a budget amendment for 2025 to increase accountability for reckless driving and promote safety in our vehicle registration fee.
