I have 30 + years of experience in family law, probate, bankruptcy, business litigation, grievance defense, and other civil matters. I am the ONLY candidate with a 100% Republican Voting Record. I have voted for true conservative Republicans in every primary, run-off election, and every general election for the past 25 years. I am the ONLY candidate that has not given or taken money from a democrat. Third, I am the ONLY candidate that has held office in several Republican clubs.
First, as a Judge, I will be present in the courtroom. Second, I will monitor my docket, and set the cases for trial at the end of 60 days. Third, I will enter clear, concise, and value grounded decision/orders. Fourth, I put kids and parental rights FIRST in my court.
I will follow the law regardless of who is present in my court. I will treat each litigant and/or attorney with respect regardless if the litigant and/or attorney has or has not contributed to my campaign.
I will run an efficient courtroom by doing the following: 1.) being present, in my courtroom; 2.) monitoring my docket on a daily basis; 3.) setting the cases for trial after the 60 day waiting period. I intend to schedule pre-trial conferences, automatically, after the 60 day waiting period. 4.) I will conduct each trial, whether jury or non-jury, that is presented before me.
I do not anticipate any improvements that need to be made in the District Court administration.
The issues that I believe are pressing relate to our families. Our family units/structure have weaken. I intend to order certain programs to help strengthen the family unit. These programs will be ordered at the associate judge's level, and must be completed prior to trial. Further, I intend to put children and parental rights FIRST regardless of the property division issues.

I bring decades of real courtroom experience. I am a seasoned family law attorney who has tried thousands of cases, represented families in crisis, worked closely with CPS, and handled complex child welfare and mental health issues. I am disciplined, prepared, and committed to applying the law as written without activism or agenda.
Access to justice starts with efficiency and equal application of the law. Courts must move cases promptly, enforce deadlines, and hold all parties to the same standards. Judges must remain neutral, focused, and unwilling to tolerate delay tactics so every family receives timely and fair resolution.
Judicial impartiality is maintained by strict adherence to the law and ethics rules. Campaign contributions do not influence judicial decision-making. If a conflict arises, recusal is appropriate. Transparency, integrity, and fidelity to the law ensure public trust regardless of campaign fundraising.
An efficient courtroom requires firm scheduling, clear expectations, and accountability for attorneys and parties. I support disciplined docket management, prompt rulings, and limiting unnecessary continuances. Justice delayed is justice denied, especially in cases involving children and families.
District courts can improve by prioritizing organization, consistency, and accountability. Clear procedures, strong case management, and respect for court staff are essential. Judges must actively manage their dockets and ensure court resources are used responsibly and effectively.
The most pressing issues include case backlogs, inconsistent rulings, and courts drifting into policy-making. These are addressed by enforcing the law as written, maintaining judicial restraint, protecting parental rights, and ensuring courts remain focused on facts, evidence, and statutory authority.

Assistant District Attorney
A family law legal career spanning over 25 years; licensed attorney since 11-08; board certified in family law through the State Bar of Texas since 2016; admitted as Attorney/ Counsellor of the Supreme Court of the US; handled hundreds of family law cases, including jury trials; I was the Court Coordinator for the 231st District Court – THIS court – so I have knowledge on how to run the court effectively, efficiently, and budget wisely. I am an ADA for TC helping victims of domestic violence.
Equal access to justice involves several solutions: reducing costs, simplifying procedures, improving cultural/language access, educating the public on rights, and addressing biases in policies, bail, and fines.
Contributors to my campaign donate to my campaign because they believe in my platform and my track record of integrity, fairness, and accountability. They are buying into a vision for the court, not a ‘quid pro quo’ arrangement. My decisions are guided by the best interest of Tarrant County and evidence-based policy. A Judge is charged with listening to the evidence and ruling on the law.
As Judge, I will take an active ownership of the docket from day one. I will set clear, firm expectations for deadlines. I will utilize modern, virtual, and remote hearings when necessary and warranted. I will adopt a policy on continuances, granting them only for genuine emergencies. I will build an expectation that when a date is set, the matter will be addressed. I will categorize cases early to identify those that can be resolved quickly versus those that require a full trial.
Judges should take an active role in managing the pace of litigation, rather than relying on lawyers to drive the schedule. I will focus on increasing efficiency, improving access to justice, and utilizing modern technology to handle rising caseloads and staffing shortages. I will adopt consistent rules that assigns cases to different dockets based on complexity, ensuring that simpler cases move faster while complex cases receive judicial attention. I will limit unnecessary delays.
A pressing concern is the “best interest of the child”. There is increased volatility in custody cases due to evolving family structures, alienation, and child rearing disputes. As Judge, I will implement intervention strategies such as co-parenting apps; encourage mediation before a contested hearing; ensure that the court is strictly applying the law; mandate the use of co-parenting applications; and encourage mediation. The need for efficiency is paramount.

I have been working in law firms since 2008. I have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a law degree. I have practiced family law in Tarrant County as an attorney since 2013 and became Board Certified in family law in 2020. I spent over 100 hours training to be a mediator and parent facilitator and over 800 hours serving in those capacities. I grew up in a blended family and I have been married and divorced myself. I have the knowledge, patience, and compassion to be a great judge.
If elected I would implement policies and procedures to move the cases on my docket efficiently. Currently, it is left up to the parties and attorneys to move the cases and that hasn't been working. I would take a more active role in managing my docket. Parties are only allowed to be appointed attorneys in a few situations in family law but I would use that to the best of my ability. I would also share other resources available such as Legal Aid and law clinics.
I might be naive but I think the attorneys understand that their donations do not equate to favorable rulings. I know I felt that way when I donated to candidates. If elected, I will rely on my mediation training and experience to remain impartial and fair in every case. No one will get better results for donating to my campaign or worse results for not.
If elected I would implement policies and procedures to move the cases on my docket efficiently. Currently, it is left up to the parties and attorneys to move the cases and that hasn't been working. I would take a more active role in managing my docket. I would thoroughly audit the docket as soon as elected to tackle the backlog.
I believe there is room for improvement in moving the cases forward in an efficient manner. There are likely other issues that I am not privy to as an attorney that I will discover after I'm (hopefully) elected. It is important to be a good steward of the taxpayer funds the court is entrusted with so I would thoroughly audit the budget right away.
Bringing the focus back to the children is my most pressing issue. The adults in the cases often forget to put the children first and end up using the children as pawns in their bid to 'win' the case. I also want to humanize the family court as much as possible. I will treat the parties with patience and compassion and give them the opportunity to be seen and heard in my courtroom. I will also conduct all hearings in open court so the public can hold me accountable.
