I’ve closely studied State & County law, budgets, and taxing entities. This blend of technical discipline and local knowledge prepares me to manage complex county operations, cut waste, protect essential services, and ensure transparency and accountability for taxpayers.
Tarrant residents are rightly concerned about rising inmate deaths and jail conditions. JPS and MHMR must be held accountable for timely medical and mental health screenings, continuity of care, and follow-up. The Commissioners Court should require transparent reporting, independent audits, and measurable performance standards to ensure lawful, humane care that protects inmate rights, public safety, and taxpayers.
I will work to increase open Commissioners Court meetings and expand public input by advocating to allow public comment sign-ups on the day of the meeting, reinstating three-minute speaking times, and reforming comment rules to protect free speech. Citizens should have real access to influence county decisions and hold leaders accountable.
I would promote efficient, well-staffed county services by setting clear staffing priorities, providing training to improve skills, reviewing operations for efficiency, and recognizing and rewarding excellent performance. By holding leaders accountable and supporting staff, we can ensure safe roads, timely emergency response, strong public safety, and reliable essential services for Tarrant County residents.
