The duties of the Drain Commissioner are established by statutory law (Michigan Drain Code of 1956, as amended) as well as delegated by the County Board of Commissioners. The Monroe County Drain Commissioner is the manager for over 1100 dedicated county drains. This is a 4-yr term.
