Pike County Sheriff and Collector
As Sheriff of Pike County, my duties and priorities will be: (1) To bring leadership, knowledge and professionalism to the department and provide safety and security to the people and properties within Pike County. (2) Administrative duties such as daily operations of the department, maintaining a budget while also being conservative of taxpayers dollars, establishing long term goals for the improvement of the department, and make sure each department within the Pike County Sheriff's Office are meeting the goals and standards set by the state and county.
I am a 2003 graduate of the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy with 23 years of law enforcement experience. I started my career with the Murfreesboro Police Department, worked four years as a K-9 officer for the Pike County Sheriff's Department, before returning to the Murfreesboro Police Department, where I have served the pas 15 years as Chief of Police. Throughout my career, I have acquired numerous certifications such as training officer, firearms instructor and narcotics officer training. In 2017, I received the Pike County Officer of the Year Award. As Chief of Police, I have learned to work within a budget and implemented goals and policies for my department.
As Sheriff of Pike County, I will bring leadership, professionalism and a strong work ethic to the department. Through community relationships, drug interdiction, and active patrol, I will establish a proactive police force. I will increase the amount of active patrol within the county and decrease the amount of off-duty call time by adding a third shift. I will re-establish the K-9 program for Pike County which as been de-certified from lack of training and establish a narcotics officer position within the department.
