I am an active CPA licensed in the State of Arkansas. I have worked in corporate accounting for over 10 years and have gained many varied and complex skills including accounting for multiple entities and intercompany transactions, budgeting, financial analysis, communicating with taxing authorities, external audits, preparing financial statements and ad hoc reports, preparing information for decision makers, supervising and training colleagues, and preparing reconciliations.
The main thing I hope to improve is the transparency of the treasurer's office. I would like constituents to feel comfortable to come in and visit to ask any questions about the use of any funds, publish regular financial reports, and receive and compile recommendations from the constituents for presentation to the quorum court for budgeting and county needs.
