The duties of a Justice of the Peace on the Quorum Court is to pass ordinances and resolutions that govern county operations. They set county policy within the limits of Arkansas state law.   One of the biggest responsibilities of a Justice of the Peace is to  adopt the annual county budget, appropriate funds to county departments (sheriff, jail, roads, etc.), and to amend the budget during the year if needed.
I have served the citizens of Clark County for the past 34 years as a teacher and administrator in the public school district. I have served on the Quorum Court the last four years and I know the needs and finances of each department making me qualified to continue to serve in this capacity.
I will continue to monitor and understand the county finances. I will work with county officials and department heads to understand their needs and try to appropriate money wisely to help them run their departments efficiently. Most importantly I will represent the people in my district as well as the rest of the citizens of Clark County to make sure their voices are heard.
