Being a life long resident of this precinct will allow me to make rulings that are grounded in the community's needs. My patient temperament will allow me to make decisions after careful deliberation without rushing to a conclusion. I am a respected member of my community that will treat everyone with respect and dignity. I will make decisions based strictly on evidence and law. My decisions will be free from external influence or personal gain. I have been observing a neighboring Justice of the Peace to learn more about the duties and responsibilities the position requires.
I think it is important to continue judicial training and certifications throughout the whole term to ensure that I will stay current on legal developments. I feel it's necessary that cases be handled in a timely manner without undue delay. The ability to explain legal procedures and decisions in plain, understandable language to all parties is a crucial part of the position so everyone understands the proceedings and the outcome.
I will listen to all sides objectively and apply the law uniformly regardless the individuals involved in the case. I believe everyone deserves their day in court and equal application of the law regardless of race, gender, status, background, or ability to pay for legal representation.
