For the last few years, I’ve been asked to run for county commissioner by several people. I’ve lived in Lavaca County PCT 2 my whole life, and graduated from Moulton ISD in 2003. As kids growing up in the country, we were able to ride our bikes on the gravel county road. However, due to the increased traffic, that no longer is safe. Now that I have my own family, I want my children to have a similar childhood as I did.
I’m running for this position to try to preserve the qualities of our county as it grows, and to serve PCT 2 residents with my knowledge, dedication, and commitment.
The best way to manage growth is by limiting excessive land developers from splitting up old heirloom ranches into two to five acre tracts. As a lifelong cattle rancher, preserving farmland and water, which are such precious resources at this day and age, holds a very close place in my heart. Small tracts of two to five acres each, means more water wells, driveways, and traffic, which increases county maintenance, therefore costs taxpayers more money.
Road safety, road maintenance, and increased truck/vehicle traffic.

I'm running to serve the people of Lavaca County. I want to be available and listen to the people of Pct. #2 and address their concerns.
I believe good stewardship of our land and taxpayer funds are dependent upon aligning county leadership values wih the values of the local people. The main method to do this is to connect with the local community and maintain good lines of communication. This alignment in turn guides leadership in responsible decision making, assuring that growth is for the betterment of Lavaca County citizens.
Most people I've spoken with are asking me to address road maintenance, and use taxpayer money efficiently.
