What motivated you to run for this office?

During your campaign, what is the number one concern expressed to you by residents? What is your response to this concern?
Other than the issues previously addressed, what are your top three priorities, and, if elected, how would you address them?
I’m raising my children in this community, and I’m running for this office to strengthen local support for the services that we provide to the children and families of Nueces County - like my own sons - towards the goals of living positive, pro-social lives.
Everyone involved in County Court at Law 5 can feel safe, empowered, and like they have a respected voice because I’ll show up to work - and I’ll work just as hard for your family as I do for my own.
Over and over again, professionals and families tell me about feeling neglected and embittered after their experiences with our court system. When a community loses faith in the judicial system’s ability to provide timely relief, we should all be concerned. We must address the need to balance the careful, thorough work required for just outcomes with the urgency of providing relief and resolution to those affected.
My priorities are restoring fiscal responsibility, trust, and efficiency at County Court 5.
