I am running for Nueces County Democratic Party Chair because I believe our local party can be stronger, more organized, and more inclusive. I want to help build a party that listens to its members, supports Democratic candidates at every level, and focuses on turning values into action through voter engagement, outreach, and education. My motivation is to help Democrats in Nueces County work together more effectively and win elections by expanding participation and trust in the party.
My strongest competency is organization and relationship-building. Through my professional and community experience, I have worked with people from diverse backgrounds to bring them together around shared goals. I understand how to communicate clearly, coordinate volunteers, and build teams that focus on results. These skills are essential for a county party chair who must support candidates, engage precinct leaders, and strengthen the party’s infrastructure.
The most common concern I hear is that people feel disconnected from the local Democratic Party and unsure how to get involved. My response is that participation should be accessible and welcoming. If elected, I will prioritize communication, outreach, and transparency so that more Democrats feel informed, valued, and encouraged to take part in party activities, whether through volunteering, attending meetings, or helping register and mobilize voters.
My top three priorities are strengthening precinct leadership, increasing voter engagement, and supporting Democratic candidates. I would work to recruit and train precinct chairs, expand voter registration and turnout efforts, and provide organizational support to candidates across Nueces County. By focusing on grassroots organizing, clear communication, and collaboration, the party can be better prepared for future elections.

I’m running because I believe Nueces County Democrats deserve a party that is organized, transparent, and built to win not just every election season, but year-round. I’ve spent years showing up when it mattered most in school board rooms, city halls, and at the Legislature because I believe change only happens when people step up and take responsibility.
What motivates me most is the gap between our values and our outcomes. We have strong Democratic values in Nueces County, but we haven’t always had the infrastructure, coordination, or leadership needed to fully translate those values into victories up and down the ballot. I’m running to help close that gap and build a party that matches the strength and diversity of our community.
My strongest competency is building effective political infrastructure. I work professionally in campaign technology, fundraising, compliance, and voter contact, supporting Democratic candidates at every level, local to national. That experience has given me a clear understanding of what campaigns need to win and how county parties should support them.
I’m deeply rooted here. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, attended our local public schools and public university, and have been engaged locally since I was 18 years old. I’ve served on boards, advised elected officials, organized volunteers, and built relationships across generations of Democrats. I understand the technical demands of modern campaigns and the relationship-building.
The most common concern I hear from residents is that they feel disconnected from the party, from decision making, and from whether anyone is truly listening to their concerns. People want to know if their voices matter and if the party will actually show up for them.
My response is simple: they do. Under my leadership, our party will be built from the ground up and present year round. We will organize locally, empower precincts, and meet people where they are at community events, neighborhood meetings, and local actions. From Robstown to Hillcrest, the Southside to Port Aransas, we will listen, organize, and build power together, because when Democrats win, Democrats deliver.
First, rebuild and unite the local party by modernizing our operations, expanding training, and equipping precinct chairs with real tools to organize year-round. I will bring in proven resources and support so precinct leaders feel confident and empowered to meet this moment. Second, lead with Democratic values by setting clear expectations: we stand with our nominees, defend our communities, and do not stay silent when our values are attacked. Third, strengthen fundraising by growing a recurring donor program and providing donors with a clear action plan that shows exactly how their contributions fund organizing, voter outreach, and winning campaigns across Nueces County.

I am running for Nueces County Democratic Party Chair because I believe deeply in the power of community, and I believe our local Democratic Party should reflect the people it represents — working families, young people, seniors, immigrants, labor, small business owners, and lifelong Democrats who want to feel heard and valued again. Like many people in Nueces County, my political journey didn’t begin in a boardroom or behind a podium. It began by watching my community struggle while decisions were made without us at the table. I’ve seen neighbors and myself work two or three jobs and still fall behind. I’ve seen families face barriers to healthcare, housing, and opportunity. I’ve seen young people eager to engage but unsure where they fit.
My strongest competency is my ability to organize people through trust, communication, and consistent presence — and my life experience as a child of immigrant parents has taught me how to do that in real, practical ways. I come from a background where relationships matter. I’ve learned that people engage when they feel respected, listened to, and included. Whether working with volunteers, families, or community members, I’ve built credibility by showing up, following through, and creating spaces where people feel comfortable contributing. I have a deep understanding of the challenges facing many in Nueces County like working families, bilingual communities, immigrants, and those who feel overlooked by traditional political structures.
The number one concern I consistently hear from residents is that they feel disconnected from the Nueces County Democratic Party and unsure how to meaningfully engage beyond Election Day. Many people tell me they want to help, vote, volunteer, or even run for office, but they don’t know where to start or feel that the party only shows up during campaign season. Others share that they don’t feel informed, welcomed, or heard once elections are over. This sense of disconnection has led to frustration and, in some cases, disengagement. My response to this concern is rooted in rebuilding trust and strengthening grassroots organizing. The party must be present year-round, not just when votes are needed. That means consistent communication.
My top three priorities as a candidate for Nueces County Democratic Party Chair are building sustainable party infrastructure, strengthening candidate and leadership development, and improving communication and transparency across the county. If elected, I would focus on strengthening precinct-level operations by supporting precinct chairs with regular training, clear expectations, and accessible resources. I would work to identify emerging leaders early — especially women, young people, and candidates from underrepresented communities — and connect them with mentorship, training, and party resources. I would prioritize regular updates to precinct chairs & volunteers, open, accessible meetings, and timely sharing of decisions and goals.
