I am running because Precinct 4 deserves leadership that treats taxpayer dollars with the same care families and small businesses use every day.
Over the past several years, I have watched major county projects move forward with rising costs, weak oversight, and limited public input. If the county were forced to operate like a business, it would have gone bankrupt years ago.
Residents tell me they feel ignored while spending continues to grow. I believe county government must be transparent, fiscally conservative, and accountable. My motivation is to restore trust, demand responsible budgeting, and put taxpayers first again.
I am a small business owner, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). My career has been spent delivering technology-driven large capital infrastructure and industrial projects where precision, accountability, and fiscal discipline are mandatory.
As the founder of my firm, I am responsible for managing multi-million-dollar budgets, evaluating risk, controlling costs, and meeting regulatory standards. In the private sector, mistakes are paid for immediately and transparency is non-negotiable. Nueces County oversees projects of similar scale, yet often without the same rigor. I bring real-world project management experience that directly translates to responsible county leadership.
The most common concern I hear is frustration with county budgeting that allows financial problems to grow until tax increases are unavoidable.
Residents want discipline much earlier in the process. My response is that the real failure isn’t how votes are cast at the end of the process, but allowing finances to deteriorate to the point where tax increase votes are even necessary.
Fiscal leadership means controlling costs, setting priorities, and correcting course early, not waiting until budgets reach a breaking point. My focus is proactive fiscal management that protects taxpayers long before higher taxes are ever discussed.
They are transparent procurement, ethical governance, and smaller, more efficient government focused on providing the core infrastructure that allows private individuals and businesses to flourish.
First, I will push for transparency and oversight in the bid and contracting process to ensure projects are competitively priced, clearly scoped, and free from favoritism.
Second, I will advocate for clear ethics standards and accountability to prevent conflicts of interest and restore public trust. As a Professional Engineer, I am bound by strict ethical obligations and trained for technical, evidence-based decisions.
Third, I will support policies that encourage small business creation, growing the county tax base without raising taxes.
