RSD School Board: Zone 2
One thing I believe our school district does very well is fostering strong community involvement and open communication between families, educators, and leadership. I’ve seen firsthand how engaged parents, dedicated teachers, and committed administrators come together to support our students, and that collaborative culture is something that truly sets our district apart.
I plan to support this strength by continuing to encourage transparency, listening to community feedback, and helping ensure that decisions reflect the voices of students, parents, and staff. By building on the strong foundation of community engagement we already have, we can continue to create an environment where every student has
The most important thing I believe our school district needs to improve is clear, consistent communication around decisions, priorities, and long-term planning. While there is strong community involvement, there are times when families and staff feel like they are reacting to decisions rather than being part of the process early on. Improving proactive communication would strengthen trust and alignment across the district.
