What is your municipality's biggest threat and how should they address it?
What is your municipality's greatest strength and how should they build on it?
Whether or not to eliminate or reduce property taxes is being considered by the governor and the Legislature. What services would have to be cut or how would you make up for revenue losses if this goes through? What, in your view, should be done?
The state has launched Florida Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) audits of several counties. Where do you see an opportunity for budget savings in your municipality?
Florida's new homeless law, House Bill 1365, prohibits sleeping or camping in public areas like parks and sidewalks, with exceptions for designated areas with shelter and services. How is your municipality doing in managing the issue under this new law?

The biggest threat to the city of Belle Glade is its lack of trust and faith in its elected officials. The average citizen points the finger at its city’s officials for the lack of progress and growth opportunities for the citizens. To combat this the city of fit should be more transparent and have accountability for what is happening in the city.
The greatest strength of the city is the ability to come together for the betterment of the entire city. This has not been seen in a number of years but can be done to bring prosperity to the city that benefits the citizens
I would request to reduce the salary of the city manager ( 247,000) and the assistant to the city manager ( 160,000)). Any positions that have been reduced then the salaries will follow that reduction.
Budget savings can be done by reducing high salaries of high level officials such as executives making more than 150,000 per year In one of the poorest cities in Florida. Stop the use of take home cars and using city vehicles instead of their own vehicles.
This has not yet been enforced in this city of Belle Glade. I believe the city can work with the local authorities, business owners as well as homeless organizations, county, state and the federal government to help provide permanent and temporary shelter to prevent people sleeping on the street or alleys.
