I preside over three types of cases involving children-- delinquency, dependency-neglect, and FINS. Delinquency cases involve children charged with crimes. If I find them delinquent, I put orders in place aimed to habilitate or rehabilitate the child/ family based on the child's strengths and needs in order to deter future delinquent behavior. Dependency neglect cases involve children who are alleged to be abused or neglected and are in foster care. I make orders to provide services to reunifiy families when safe to do so or determine the permanent life plan for the children. FINS cases involve children who are excessively absent from school, running away, or other extreme behavior problems requiring court intervention.
I have served in the position since 2021.
I hope to continue our efforts to support and improve the lives of children and families and to work to keep communities safer using evidence based, trauma informed practices. I want to continue efforts to invite community providers to partner with us to impact real change in the lives of those we serve.
