As a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, I am elected by the people of District 5 to represent them, to be their eyes, ears and voice regarding legislative matters that directly affect their lives. Regarding state-wide issues such as budget, new legislation and regulations, I am there to work with the state Senate. I am to show up, do my due diligence in research and study of proposed new pieces of legislation, to vote, and then return home and share decisions and updates with the constituents that send me. I will be available to listen, will work hard and strive to protect religious freedoms, property rights, the unborn, second amendment rights, seek continued support for our local schools and healthcare facilities.
I am a 50-year resident of District 5. I know and love it and its people. I have enjoyed successful careers in tourism, hospitality, entertainment, marketing and real estate, including serving as Chamber of Commerce president/CEO representing 430 members. I am a hard worker, multi-tasker and a unifier, with experience in bringing diverse groups together. As a bi-vocational pastor, I serve farmers, ranchers, teachers, business owners, veterans, seniors and young families. I hear their woes and challenges every week with compassion for fresh start programs for drug addiction and recovery, homelessness, mental illness and the unborn. As dedicated public servants, my wife and I champion a food ministry feeding over 100 families per month.
Very first thing.....I will strive to gain a clear understanding of the issues at hand and begin seeking solutions to the problems concerning the people of our state, especially District 5. With a year away before my term begins, there will hopefully be resolution to some of the challenges we face and there will surely be new ones, however, I believe it should be our goal to seek common sense solutions for the common good of all. We need to regain the trust and confidence of the people, assuring them that we are working together for them, being true representatives in a representative government. I will then keep in constant contact via periodic town halls, email, Facebook updates, phone and text giving precise, easy to understand updates

Arkansas State Representative, District 5
As the State Representative for Arkansas House District 5, my duty is to serve as a strong, accessible voice for the people I represent. That means listening to my neighbors, understanding their concerns, and carrying those priorities to the Arkansas General Assembly. I am responsible for reviewing, debating, and voting on legislation that affects our local communities and the entire state, while working to protect individual freedoms, private property rights, and our way of life. Just as important, I see this role as being present at home — helping constituents navigate state government, advocating for our district, and making thoughtful, commonsense decisions that put families, jobs, and the future of District 5 first.
I bring more than four decades of experience in business, real estate, and public service to this role. After graduating from College of the Ozarks, I owned and operated a successful local business for over 35 years, creating jobs and serving our community. I have spent more than 20 years as a Realtor, helping families, farmers, and landowners navigate major financial decisions. My public service includes serving as a Harrison Alderman and later as City Clerk/Treasurer, where I worked directly with budgets, infrastructure, and responsible governance. These experiences give me practical, real-world insight and a strong commitment to serving District 5 with integrity and common sense.
The first thing I will focus on is being an accessible, responsive representative who listens to the people of District 5 and follows through on their concerns. I will establish regular communication through town halls, community meetings, and open lines of contact so constituents know their voices are heard. I will work with fellow legislators, local leaders, and state agencies to address issues affecting our district, while carefully reviewing legislation to ensure it protects local interests, supports job growth, and uses taxpayer dollars responsibly. By staying engaged at home and informed at the Capitol, I will work to deliver practical results for District 5.
