As a State Representative, one duty includes voting on legislation that may positively and/or negatively affect not only my constituents in District 76 but across the state of Arkansas. Another duty includes proposing and/or supporting legislation that represents the interests of my constituents and other communities across the state of Arkansas. Other duties include attending committees to discuss the needs of the State and approve budgets for the orderly operations of the state of Arkansas. Finally, it is my civic duty to be available to respond to my constituents’ inquiries..
I was elected as a State Representative in 2020, therefore, I have over 5 years of experience in the position. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Economics; a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadeship. I worked for over 25 years in the law offices of John W. Walker, well known civil rights attorney who was nicknamed “Johnny Constitution”. I learned from the best and have been able to utilize that knowledge to 1) insist that no new legislation will negatively impact my constituents in District 76, 2) that state resources are equitably distributed and 3) be proud to say that I live in a state where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
I have been in this position for 5 years and pledge to continue working with my colleagues to ensure that Arkansas is a great place to live, work and prosper.
