The Prosecuting Attorney is the primary enforcer of the law: criminal laws in particular for the county. The prosecutor plays a key role in maintaining order and ensuring that our communities are safe. The atmosphere of peace emanates from an equitable, fair, consistent and persistent execution of these duties. Otherwise, there is uncertainty, fear and injustice stemming from inconsistent enforcement of the law.
For the past forty years I have served in and out of various courtrooms across the State, at all levels: trial, appellate and our Supreme Court. I have also set with parents and children, the accused and victims, in board rooms, detention facilities, and prisons. I have testified before our legislature for better laws.

As an undergraduate at Yale, I worked in the Office of Mayor Frank Logue, assisting in citizen complaint resolutions. While clerking for the Arkansas Supreme Court, I learned not only how cases are decided, but gained more insight into procedural and substantive law. This background has enriched me with a broad view of government, community and the interplay between them. I bring a balanced and fair view to my service.
I will bring consistent enforcement of the law: a change from slamming the book at non serious offenses, while sweeping violent crimes under the rug. The first step will be to evaluate the cases based upon the facts, the law, and the victims. I will bring accountability, transparency and pursuit of justice on behalf of the public.
