I will prioritize legislative stewardship by ensuring our tax dollars stay in public schools and our policies are rooted in lived experience rather than special interests. Drawing on my background as an educator, I will fight for "whole child" investments and early childhood access and mental health while serving on key committees like Education and Agriculture. Beyond the Capitol, I am dedicated to helping you navigate state agencies and securing the infrastructure—like broadband and better roads, affordable cost of living and health care. Finally, I will work to protect our natural heritage, ensuring landmarks like the Arkansas State Parks, Ozark National Forrest Mulberry and Arkansas Rivers are preserved.
As the founder of NatureS.T.E.A.M. and a former Facility Manager at Hobbs State Park, I possess the executive leadership skills—including grant writing, strategic budgeting, and operations management—necessary to steward our state resources responsibly. My experience as an educator and nature guide equips me with the firsthand expertise needed to advocate effectively for teacher retention and student resources. Deeply rooted in the Ozarks, my experience developing community hubs like the Elkins Creation Station demonstrates my ability to build diverse coalitions and truly listen to the needs of rural working families. Furthermore, my interdisciplinary background in STEAM and the arts fosters the creative and strategic collaboration.
The first thing I will change is to stabilize our rural students by expanding wraparound services and ensuring the successful implementation of the Universal School Breakfast initiative.
