Efficiently running criminal, civil and probate dockets; presiding over the Faulkner County Adult Drug Court; managing court staff; conducting jury trials; complete knowledge of the Arkansas Rules of Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence; impartiality; and making a constant and intentional effort to maintain judicial decorum.
I am blessed to be unopposed. I have served in this role for the last 5 years which has given me the ability to settle into my judicial role. I believe I have demonstrated the ability to run my dockets in a way to keep the cases moving and make my courtroom more accessible to everyone that has business before the court. I have a dedicated staff in place. I have developed a reputation of being firm but fair. The parties may not a like my ruling, but they will know I put careful consideration into my decision. I understand I am judge on and off the bench, so I conduct myself accordingly.
During my first term I was able to secure over $2M of grant money for the Faulkner County Drug Court. With that money we have been able to expand the Drug Court helping more Faulkner County residents find and maintain sobriety. My Drug Court Staff has improved the time it takes to identify those in needs of services from 3-4 months to in some cases 24 hours. in my next term I would like to continue to grow the Drug Court Program, which saves taxpayers countless thousands of dollars annually by reducing recidivism and getting people out of the county jail, back to work and raising their children all while staying sober.
