The Arkansas State Representative’s duty is to serve as the voice of the people of District 35 in the state legislature. This includes introducing and voting on laws, working on committees, and helping shape the state budget. The role also involves listening to constituents, addressing their concerns, and advocating for policies that improve education, create jobs, protect public safety, and strengthen our community. My goal is to represent District 35 with integrity, accessibility, and a strong commitment to better schools, better jobs, and a better future.
Experience and Qualifications I have spent years serving my community in public office, including as a West Memphis School Board Member, former City Clerk, former City Councilwoman, and former Chairman of the West Memphis Fair Housing Board. These roles gave me hands-on experience with budgeting, policy decisions, public accountability, and working directly with residents to solve real problems. I bring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of local government and community needs. My experience working with education, housing, and city operations has prepared me to effectively represent District 35 and advocate for better schools, better jobs, and a better future for our families.
First Priority in Office • One of the first things I will work to improve is funding and support for our public schools and workforce development programs so our students and workers are better prepared for today’s jobs. I will accomplish this by working with fellow legislators, educators, and local leaders to advocate for fair education funding, expand career and technical training, and support apprenticeship and job-readiness programs. • By building bipartisan support and listening to the needs of our district, I will push for policies that strengthen education, grow local jobs, and create a better future for families in District 35.
