Independence Dota Constable

Over their two-year term, a constable has the same law enforcement authority as a sheriff in their township. They have arrest power, can write citations, and respond to accidents. A 2007 law, however, placed training requirements on constables if they wanted to carry a gun on duty and have access to the Arkansas Crime Information Center. State law also requires them to wear uniforms while on duty and label any patrol vehicle with "Arkansas Constable" on it. They are required to turn over any fines collected from citations to the county.Under state law, they no longer have authority to appoint deputies. They are required to keep records of any citations and administrative records, similar to requirements placed on sheriffs.https://www.uaex.uada.edu/business-communities/ced-blog/posts/2022/may/what-is-a-constable.aspx

Biographical Information

Describe in your own words the duties of the office you seek.

Describe in your own words the experience and skills you have that qualifies you for this position.

Describe the first thing you plan to change/improve when you take office and how you will accomplish that goal.

I seek to serve and protect my community. To be of assistance to any and all of my constituents. Do my due diligence to help with the crime problems in our community and to assist law enforcement and fire departments as a Constable is meant to due. Be a calm and steady source of Christian morals and assist parents with unruly children that could be headed in the wrong way. Work on being a voice of reason but be tough when needed.
In the late 90's and early 2000's, i went to work for Wackenhut corrections which is now Arkansas Dept of Corrections. i learned many things including de-escalation skills, defensive tactics, firearms instruction and how to deal with offenders. In the United States, We are all innocent until proven guilty even though times it doesnt feels as such. After leaving ADC, i became a White County Part time 2 deputy where i learned more than i ever wanted to know of that department. I became a witness for the FBI due to the nature of what i had witnessed against a member of the community. To cut the story short, I chose and still choose to do what is right in the eyes of my Lord and savior. I will do as needed to protect the community.
I plan to start a patrol of District 5/Dota Township and to make myself accessible to any and all residents. This is not a position of power, this is the ability to help my community.
