The sheriff is a community leader who must build and maintain trust with their community.
With nearly 18 years of service in law enforcement, I have the experience, dedication, and community ties to serve as the next Sheriff. In 2007, I worked for Johnson County Detention Center until being hired by Lamar Police Department as a School Resource Officer in 2009. I went on to work as a Lamar Patrol Officer until I was appointed Chief of Police in 2012—a position I still hold today. In all aspects of my career, it has been based on putting people first. I’ve spent my entire career in this community, and I understand the importance of being a trusted, consistent presence. As Sheriff, I will bring that same level of dedication and commitment to all of Johnson County.
