I am currently the Chief of Staff to the Fort Bend County Judge. In this role, I build relationships with elected officials, community leaders, and county department heads. I also manage a large staff, help to formulate policy, review budgets, and create public-facing and internal messaging. I have also been a small business owner and a financial services professional, holding two insurance licenses and a mortgage loan officer license. I am the former Executive Director of the Harris County Republican Party and have relationships with elected officials and policymakers across the state. I have the government, political, communications, and financial experience to lead the County Treasurer's Office from day one.
The first issue is to restore transparency to the Harris County Treasurer's Office. The public must be able to see how Harris County is spending their hard-earned tax dollars so that they know their money is being spent and managed. When Orlando Sanchez was Harris County Treasurer, he won several awards for transparency for his policies, which included maintaining a searchable database of every single financial transaction. I intend to restore Orlando's award-winning systems, which is one reason he has endorsed my candidacy. The second issue facing the office is a lack of trust in the current administration. I plan to restore that trust by immediately performing a thorough performance review of the office to identify waste and inefficiency.
