Civil District Court Judge, District 55
District courts are trial courts of general jurisdiction of Texas. They have original jurisdiction in felony criminal cases, divorce cases, cases involving title to land, election contest cases, civil matters in which the amount of money or damages involved is $200 or more, and any matters in which jurisdiction is not placed in another trial court. The courts may specialize in civil, criminal, juvenile, or family law matters. Four-year term.

With more than two decades of legal practice and nine years as a Municipal Judge for the City of Houston, I have presided over thousands of cases, ensuring fairness, efficiency, and respect for the law. As such I have the courtroom experience needed to uphold the rule of law. I also serve as a FINRA Chair Arbitrator, leading panels and resolving complex financial disputes with fairness and discipline. My mediation training and real-world courtroom leadership prepare me to manage a busy docket efficiently and deliver justice without delay.
Backlog and timely access to justice. Delayed cases harm families, businesses, and victims alike and waste court resources. I will modernize the court with improved digital access, virtual hearings where appropriate, and transparent scheduling practices to move cases efficiently. I will encourage early resolution, reduce procedural bottlenecks, and ensure fairness for every litigant, regardless of status or resources.
