Education AAS in Fire Protection Technology, BAAS- Emergency Management Administration
Occupation Businessowner, (Allstate Insurance Franchise owner)
I am qualified to serve as State Representative because I bring proven leadership, real-world experience, and a lifelong commitment to public service. I served more than 25 years with the Houston Fire Department, rising through the ranks and ultimately serving as Assistant Fire Chief, where I helped lead emergency response, public safety operations, and crisis management for one of the largest cities in the nation. That role required calm decision-making, accountability, and the ability to act decisively when lives were on the line. In addition to public service, I am a successful small-business owner and CEO, managing multiple businesses that provide insurance and financial services to families and small businesses.
The two most pressing issues facing our community today are public safety and affordable access to health care. Both are fundamental to quality of life, economic stability, and trust in government. Families cannot thrive if they do not feel safe in their neighborhoods or if they are forced to choose between medical care and paying their bills.
I served more than 25 years with the Houston Fire Department, rising through the ranks and ultimately serving as Assistant Fire Chief. In that role, I helped lead emergency response operations and public safety initiatives for one of the largest cities in the nation. One of the greatest honors of my career was being appointed Assistant Fire Chief by former Houston Mayor Annise Parker. That responsibility required steady leadership, accountability, and the ability to make tough decisions under pressure. Also, I've been a small business owner for over 25 years, I know how to create jobs. I bring a lifetime of service, leadership, and real-world experience, and I am ready to put that experience to work for the people I represent.
I support education policies that strengthen public schools, respect responsible school choice, protect teachers and classrooms, and ensure accountability for every dollar spent. Our focus should always be on student outcomes not ideology. My goal is to ensure every Texas student has access to a quality education that prepares them for success in life.
The state government plays a key role in creating the conditions for a healthier population not by micromanaging personal decisions, but by supporting smart, preventative, and community-based solutions. The government should act as a partner not a barrier by encouraging innovation, supporting local health providers, and removing unnecessary regulatory obstacles that increase costs without improving care.
Water is one of Texas’ most critical long-term challenges. Rapid population growth, aging infrastructure, extreme weather, and competing demands from cities, agriculture, and industry require serious, forward-looking solutions. Ensuring a reliable, affordable water supply while protecting property rights and local control must be a top priority for state leadership.
As a small business owner for more than 30 years, I know firsthand that a strong Texas economy depends on creating good-paying jobs, supporting local businesses, and preparing workers for the careers of today and tomorrow. Economic growth must reach every community not just certain areas, and it should be built on opportunity, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
Every Texan’s voice matters, and our election system must ensure that all eligible voters can participate easily and securely. I saw firsthand how ballot harvesting was used in ways that undermined confidence in the process, reinforcing the need for strong safeguards. At the same time, we must maintain public trust in our elections by preventing fraud and ensuring secure, transparent, and accountable voting procedures.

I bring more than 20 years of leadership experience through service on community boards and a 30 year career in Corporate America. As a former business owner, Civic Club president, and civic engagement volunteer, I have listened to the needs of our diverse community and brought resources and opportunities to the district.

In 2022, I was elected to the Houston Community College Board of Trustees, where I advocated for funding for low cost courses, skills training, expanded workforce development training with a pathway to a career .

I am currently the incumbent State Representative, I have used my leadership experience to continue to fight for the people of HD 139 to have safer neighborhoods, strong schools, and real opportunities
1. Addressing economic opportunity and cost-of-living pressures for working families. The Legislature must focus on policies that support job growth, workforce development, better schools, and quality education. Also, polices that will help reduce costs such as healthcare costs and property taxes are needed. Rising housing and living expenses require policies that support working people, retirees, seniors, etc 2. Another pressing issue is upgrading infrastructure—particularly flooding, the power grid and environmental health risks. I support continued state investment in flood mitigation, clean water infrastructure, and environmental protections to ensure families are safe and communities
I am currently serving as the State Representative for House District 139, sworn in January 2025. From day one, I fought for equal access, equal rights, and equal opportunity for all Texans. I was appointed to the Higher Education and Cultural, Recreation & Tourism Committees.

I have sponsored legislation to increase funding for public schools and community colleges, lower property taxes, expand workforce development programs, and protect the lives and health of mothers.

I was also proud to stand as one of the Quorum Breakers who left the state to fight against the racially gerrymandered maps and to defend the voting rights of Texans.
I believe every Texas student deserves access to a high-quality public education. I fought for record funding for public schools, including increasing the basic allotment, investing in teacher pay and retention, and expanding dual-credit and career and technical education programs.

If school choice policies are considered, they must include strong accountability measures to ensure public dollars remain focused on student success and do not undermine neighborhood public schools. I would support legislation that requires transparency, academic standards, and equitable access while prioritizing investments in public schools—particularly those serving historically underserved communities.

Affordable, accessible healthcare is essential to a healthy Texas. I support expanding access to care by strengthening Medicaid, protecting the lives of pregnant mothers, and investing in access to mental health care, and community health centers that serve uninsured and underinsured Texans.

The state government must play an active role by lowering prescription drug costs, supporting preventive care and mental health services, and addressing health disparities in underserved communities. A healthy population strengthens families, improves workforce productivity, and reduces long-term healthcare costs for Texas.
Texas faces serious water challenges that demand long-term, responsible solutions. I supported SB7, which provided the largest state investment in water infrastructure, including repairing aging systems, expanding clean water and wastewater treatment, and strengthening flood mitigation efforts—especially in historically underserved communities.

I would continue to support legislation that protects Texas water sources through conservation, sustainable planning, and safeguards against pollution, while ensuring public accountability. Access to safe, affordable water is a basic necessity, and the state must work proactively to secure Texas’ water future
As the current Representative , I have and will continue to sponsor legislation that creates economic opportunities and good-paying jobs by investing in workforce development, career and technical education, and community college programs that prepare Texans for high-demand industries.

I also support policies that strengthen small businesses, attract new industries, and promote entrepreneurship. By prioritizing job creation, skills training, and equitable access to opportunity, we can build a stronger, more resilient Texas economy that works for everyone. As a former small business owner, I have provided jobs to people across the district and understand how job opportunities impact not only the current family but for generations to come
I supported election laws that protect every Texan’s right to vote while ensuring elections remain secure and trustworthy. I support policies that expand access to early voting, easier voter registration, the mail in ballot application process and provide resources for every community to participate fully in elections.

At the same time, I support maintaining safeguards against intimidation, improving election technology, and ensuring transparency in the electoral process. Texans deserve an election system that is fair, accessible, and secure—one that strengthens our democracy rather than restricts it

Education Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice - Wiley University 2022
Occupation Notary Public
I believe my first qualification is that God actually called me to this position! Now, I do have a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and experience as a pretrial services and parole officer. I have worked directly with individuals navigating the justice system and have led community programs focused on youth development, reentry, and workforce training. I bring persistence, integrity, and a commitment to equity in all my work. I’ve always been the leader and everything that I do, and this position in our legislation will be no different.
Two pressing issues are criminal justice reform and education. I plan to reform prison operations to prioritize real rehabilitation, including vocational training, mental health support, and reentry programs to reduce recidivism. I will also address the school-to-prison pipeline by investing in youth programs, mentorship, and resources in schools to keep students on a path to success rather than incarceration. When our children are thriving all throughout their primary school career, and we equipped them with the resources and tools that they need when they become adults, they will be more fit for society and will not have to turn to a life of crime.
I am not a career politician, and this is my first run for office, though I have always followed politics and legislation closely. I won’t simply fall in line. I am called to stand out and lead differently. My first priorities will be criminal justice reform, strengthening public schools, universal healthcare, environmental protection, and raising the minimum wage. These are systemic issues that need real solutions, and while I will address many other matters, these are the systems I will tackle first. Although I will propose other legislation matters, we’re not just proposing surface level legislation. We are tackling systematic issues in the state of Texas to make it better.
I support fully funding public schools and ending vouchers that divert resources from students. I would sponsor measures to restore meaningful standardized testing, like the TAKS, to ensure students are meeting learning goals. Teachers must be supported with better pay, mental health resources, and classroom support, while schools receive funding for nutrition, enrichment programs, and tools to help every child succeed regardless of their background. I also want to propose that we implement a STEM program in Texas. And have dual credit both academically and trade in every high school in Texas. Give our children different options. Invest into our future.
I support universal healthcare for all Texans, ensuring that everyone has access to quality, affordable care. The state should provide comprehensive coverage, including preventive care, mental health services, and community health programs, while promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention across all communities. And we can have a binary system. So if someone would like their own private healthcare insurance that’s completely fine. But for those who just want good quality and affordable healthcare, it’s there. No matter your ZIP Code or your tax bracket.
I support sustainable water management in Texas, including protecting water sources, securing reliable supply, reducing waste, and ensuring responsible ownership. I would give the Public Utility Commission oversight to prevent unfair fees and protect residents from being overcharged before service begins. This is especially critical for MUD districts in my area, and I will fight for policies that safeguard local communities while ensuring long-term water security for all Texans.
I will fight to bring good paying jobs to Texas by investing in workforce training, supporting small businesses, and incentivizing companies to hire locally. I will raise the minimum wage while helping small businesses adjust so workers and employers both thrive. My goal is strong local economies where Texans have real opportunities to earn a living wage and build careers in their communities.
I support reforms that protect voting rights and access for all Texans while maintaining secure and trustworthy elections. This includes modernizing registration systems, improving early voting access, ensuring polling locations are adequately staffed and fairly distributed, and strengthening transparency in vote counting and audits. I also support clear, enforceable limits on ballot collection sometimes called ballot or vote harvesting to prevent undue influence or misuse of mail in ballots, which Texas law already criminalizes when done for compensation or benefit to sway results. These measures aim to safeguard the integrity of our elections without creating unnecessary barriers that discourage participation.
