In 2018, I became a surviving parent of the Santa Fe HS mass shooting. Since then, I have had training in the gun violence circles on public speaking. I have had experience passing bills at the federal level (2022 Bipartisan Safe Communities Act) and at the Texas state level (2023 SB 435). I am pursuing a degree in political science at the University of Houston. I am also an Army Veteran (MOS 88K).
Americans are most worried about the cost of living and healthcare right now. I would work with my colleagues in the House to find solutions to these issues.

race description United States Congress, District TX-36
I have dedicated my professional career to investigating and stopping corporate fraud and abuse. I am a registered CPA and certified financial fraud examiner (CFE). I have worked on some of the nation’s most significant cases, including the Swiss Bank Holocaust-Victim recovery effort, the Bernard Madoff and Stanford Securities investigations. Today, I serve as a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, a global firm specializing in financial investigations, technology, and economics. I consider myself a candidate who believes that service to all constituents is more important than rank partisanship. Before starting my career I served in the Bush Sr. White House. A former Republican, I registered as a Democrat in 2004.
1. The affordability crisis 2. Access to Healthcare. I will fight to close tax loopholes that reward wealth over work and end special tax breaks that favor billionaires and multinational corporations while middle-class families struggle to get ahead. I will protect Medicaid funding and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIPS) and support federal funding for rural hospitals as over 1/3 of the District 36 population resides in rural areas.
