Texas children deserve access to a high-quality public education to prepare them for careers, college, or military service. The state must fix Texas’ broken school finance system while addressing property tax reform. We must invest in teachers. Parents should have a meaningful voice in their children’s education. When we invest wisely in education, we invest in Texas' workforce, economy, & future.
Texas’s growing population & economy depend on reliable, affordable energy. The state must continue strengthening the grid. We need an "all-of-the-above" approach to energy. Oil and gas, renewables, nuclear, & emerging technologies all play a role in keeping energy affordable & dependable. The Legislature should support innovation & market-based solutions to allow energy sources to compete fairly.
The state has a limited but important role in promoting a healthy population by ensuring access to affordable, high-quality healthcare while respecting the role of families, faith organizations, & local communities. The Legislature should focus on increasing access by strengthening the healthcare workforce—particularly in rural & underserved areas—& removing unnecessary regulations driving up cost
Protecting the right to vote & ensuring confidence in our elections are both essential to a strong democracy. Texas election laws should make it easy for eligible voters to cast a ballot & hard for anyone to cheat. Clear rules, secure voter rolls, & consistent enforcement help ensure that every lawful vote counts & that election outcomes are trusted by the public.
