Occupation Elected Official
I have spent my entire public service career in the County Clerk’s Office since 2005. Over the course of my tenure, I have served in multiple roles, including Voter Outreach Coordinator, Public Information Officer, Administrator of Communications and Voter Outreach, and Chief Deputy, where I oversaw daily operations and managed all departmental functions. In 2020, I was elected County Clerk.

As County Clerk, I am deeply committed to the continued growth and improvement of the Harris County Clerk’s Office and to protecting the integrity of election administration in our county. I take this responsibility seriously, and I remain focused on ensuring stable, transparent, and efficient operations that serve the public without interruption.
Property fraud is increasing, and Harris County’s size makes detection difficult. As County Clerk, I helped strengthen state laws to protect property owners. My office is launching a Property Fraud Alert system to notify owners when documents are filed in their name, allowing early review. I am also working with county partners to create a shared, real-time database with law enforcement for proper investigation and prosecution.

Elections, Legislative changes continue to complicate election administration. I fought efforts to eliminate countywide polling and criminalize election officials. My office will continue voter education efforts and securing proper staffing and resources to deliver secure, transparent, and accessible elections.

My experience in public service, leadership, and administration prepares me to serve as Harris County Clerk. I spent over 15 years as a Spanish teacher, developing strong organizational and communication skills. I served seven years as President of Precinct 287 Civic Association, coordinating community initiative and collaborating with residents. I also worked as an interpreter in the Harris County District Criminal Courts, communicating legal information clearly and accurately. For more than 28 years, I have managed a family-owned transportation business, overseeing operations, financial and administrative records These experiences demonstrate my ability to manage responsibilities and provide efficient, reliable public service.
The two most pressing issues are, first, making sure elections are conducted securely and ballots are counted accurately and on time. This can be achieved by maintaining clear procedures, providing thorough training for staff and poll workers, and carefully managing the ballot-counting process.

Secondly, ensuring that vital and property records are accurate and accessible is very important for residents and businesses. By streamlining workflows and following consistent procedures, the office can reduce delays and minimize errors. Providing clear guidance and resources helps residents obtain the documents they need efficiently and reliably, improving overall service and accessibility.

As a longtime veteran of multiple government offices, including Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office and former District Clerk Chris Daniel’s office and as a former countywide elected official myself, having served 12 years as a Harris County School Trustee, I have decades of experience serving the public as a dedicated conservative fighter. I have the background and temperament needed to bring conservative leadership to an organization that has been in search of leadership ever since former County Clerk Stan Stanart left office.
As Harris County Clerk, I will work diligently to properly staff the thousands of election judge and clerk positions in key voting precincts that are necessary to run fair elections in Harris County.

As Harris County Clerk, I will also work to run the office in way that brings credit to all citizens in Harris County. Securing our elections and working with our legislators in Austin and Washington where I have many longstanding relationships, I will work in a transparent manner to bring all stakeholders together for the betterment of the office.
