Perspective: I have taken Citizen Academies with FBI, DEA, Sherriff, Constable and ATF which has given me deep insight into how the judicial system works from law enforcement and citizen perspectives. My career from busboy to a landlord has broadened my perspective and allows me to relate to people in a variety of situations and socioeconomic levels.
Decision Making: As a business owner, I deal with disputes constantly. I work with my tenants to ensure consideration is given to all sides of the situation. I believe in 2nd chances.
Integrity: I have served my spiritual community for many years as an elected leader. Their trust has been earned through my perspective and fairness across all situations.
Justice delayed is justice denied. This is the prevailing philosophy that will influence me in office.
My first focus will be on our youth. Our young people need role models - by treating youth and family cases with a focus on individual attention and ensuring that I provide ample time to hear each side, our court will render decisions that are fair and do not inflict further harm on families. I will also engage with schools and communities so that our youth have a greater understanding of the justice system and their rights.
My second focus will be to streamline processes in the pursuit of justice. Court dates should be scheduled as soon as possible so the community does not remain in limbo while awaiting a judgement.

Education
Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, University of Houston Downtown; Masters of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management, Sam Houston State University
Occupation
Law Enforcement Officer
I bring more than 30 years of law enforcement experience which includes 20 years serving the Harris County Precinct 4 community as a Deputy Sergeant with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office. I hold a Master Peace Officer License, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management. As a law enforcement officer, I complete ongoing training on legislative updates and pass proficiency exams every legislative cycle. I teach criminal justice courses at the college level, including court systems and practices. My career has given me firsthand knowledge of how JP court decisions impact families. I lead with fairness, professionalism, and calm judgment under pressure.
If elected Justice of the Peace, I believe the two of the most pressing issues I will face are high eviction rates and the need for greater transparency in the court. With some of the highest eviction rates in Harris County Precinct 4, I will work to reduce unnecessary default judgments caused by no-shows. Many residents miss court due to childcare, transportation, or work conflicts. I will reinstate and utilize virtual appearance technology so individuals with legitimate barriers can still be heard.
Second, I will improve transparency by clearly explaining court procedures at every stage and directing self-represented litigants to available legal and community resources, ensuring the process is accessible and understandable for all.
