Occupation
Attorney
I bring nearly two decades of experience as a trial and appellate attorney representing individuals and businesses in state and federal courts. My background includes work as a felony prosecutor and civil trial attorney, with experience in commercial litigation, personal injury, counterterrorism matters, family law, immigration, probate, and medical device litigation. For several years, my practice has focused on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation, requiring disciplined case management and timely, well-reasoned decisions.
I also served as an adjunct professor and manage my own law firm, leading staff and large dockets. As a first-generation immigrant and single mother, I am committed to fairness and justice.
The two most pressing issues in Probate Court No. 4 are docket backlog and access to justice. First, persistent backlog delays resolutions for estates and guardianships. I plan to address this through active case management, firm scheduling orders, early status conferences, and differentiated case tracks so routine matters move quickly and complex cases receive focused attention. I will also responsibly use technology, including AI-assisted docket tools, to identify stalled cases and improve workflow, while ensuring all decisions remain human and grounded in law. Second, many litigants are pro se or in crisis. I'll enhance access via clear procedures, plain-language guides, efficient hearings, timely rulings, and a respectful courtroom.
