Occupation Attorney At Law
I have been licensed to practice law for 31 years. From 2020 to 2024, I had the privilege of serving as an elected Judge. I was very patient, knowledgeable and fair with all parties that appeared before me. As a Judge, I sat and listened to thousands of cases. In some of these cases, there were no lawyers at all, just individual parties presenting their disputes to me for resolution. For most of my legal career, I practiced law throughout the State of Texas handling all kinds of Civil disputes and cases. I believe I am very fair minded and will work hard for the citizens of Harris County if elected to serve as Judge.
Right now the current Judge employs Zoom to resolve issues. I would eliminate zoom except in cases where there is no other alternative. People should have their disputes aired out in the courtroom. Everyone deserves their day in Court. Right now, today, that is not happening. I will end this on day one. Additionally, many lawyers have called me to complain that the current Judge is not hearing cases and has not held a Jury Trial in many years. As a Judge, I held 10 to 15 Jury Trial weekly. This will also end on day one. This will become a working Court.
