Occupation
Houston fire fighter
I am a 20-year firefighter with the City of Houston, currently serving as an Engineer Operator, where I make critical decisions under pressure to protect lives and property. I am also a United States Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, which instilled discipline, leadership, and accountability. In addition, I have real-world experience in small business and financial management, giving me a practical understanding of budgets and economic policy. Raised in a family rooted in law enforcement, faith, and public service, I bring integrity, calm leadership, and a results-driven mindset to representing House District 134.
Issue 1: Property taxes and cost of living.
Rising property taxes are pricing families out of District 134. I will support increasing the homestead exemption, limiting annual appraisal increases, and requiring voter approval for new local tax hikes. I will also oppose unfunded state mandates that shift costs onto homeowners and push for disciplined state budgeting to ensure tax relief is sustainable.
Issue 2: Public safety and infrastructure reliability.
I will advocate for consistent funding for firefighters, police, and emergency services, and support investments in flood control, drainage, and grid reliability. Protecting lives and property must remain a core function of state government.
