My qualifications for State Representative in HD-133 stem from a blend of rigorous training, real-world experience, and personal characteristics shaped by humble beginnings. Raised in Austin by a resilient single mother after losing my father at a young age, I credit public schools, teachers, and mentors for my path to SMU (B.A.) and Stanford Law School (J.D.). This fuels my passion for education equity. For 20+ years, I've been a nationally respected ethics and compliance attorney, advising Fortune 100 companies, the World Bank, and international tribunals across six continents on anti-corruption and accountability—skills perfect for cleaning up Austin's special-interest influence.
There are many pressing issues in HD-133; the two of them are underfunded public schools and chronic flooding. I'll ban vouchers by sponsoring repeal of SB 8 amendments and secure $100+ per-student funding increases through budget reforms, plus a $70K minimum teacher pay via dedicated revenue from taxing billionaires—ensuring Spring Branch ISD reduces class sizes and retains educators. Also, I'll champion a $2B bond bill for Harris County infrastructure, including I-10 upgrades and resilient zoning. I will partner with TCEQ on audits and federal grants to prevent $1B+ in damages like post-Harvey.
