Education
Masters of Education in School Counseling, Bachelor’s in Secondary Education
Occupation
School Counselor
As a veteran of the US Army National Guard, I swore to protect and defend the constitution when I enlisted. After my service, I continued to serve my community as an educator for over 10 years.
I am not a politician. I am an everyday American- a mother, an educator, and a veteran. I know how difficult life is for so a many Americans in this economy. The military taught me how to fight, and I will fight for our working and middle-class families, and for our public schools.
In the Army I learned how to apply tourniquets & pack bullet wounds to prepare for war. As an educator, we learn how to apply tourniquets and pack bullet wounds to prepare for the next school shooting. Our leaders do nothing.
I will fight for gun safety reforms that will keep our children safe. Reforms that will allow us to go to school, work, and worship and not worry about the next mass shooting. I will fight to ban high capacity magazines, institute universal background checks, increase wait time, & more.
Texans are facing an affordability crisis. The cost of living has skyrocketed, but wages haven’t kept pace. Minimum wage hasn’t been raised since 2009. I will fight for our working & middle class families and to raise minimum wage.

Education
Master’s in City & Regional Planning, Cornell University and Bachelor of Architecture, Florida A & M University
Occupation
Chief of Staff, Texas’ 18th Congressional District, U. S. House of Representatives
I bring 30+ years of senior leadership experience in public policy, housing, economic development, and finance that directly prepares me to serve in Congress. I served as Chief of Staff to the late Congressman Sylvester Turner, managing operations, budgets, and legislative strategy, and previously as Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Houston, overseeing 23 city departments, 21,000 employees, and a $6.2 billion budget. I hold degrees in Architecture and City and Regional Planning, am a small business owner and real estate developer, and a lifelong Houstonian. My career has focused on delivering results on affordability, healthcare access, and economic opportunity, with a deep understanding of how federal policy impacts families and communities.
As a Member of Congress, my top priorities will be lowering the cost of living and expanding access to affordable healthcare. Families across Houston are struggling with rising housing costs, Insurance, childcare, and healthcare expenses that strain household budgets and limit opportunity. I will work to expand affordable housing through tools like the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, protect renters, support first-time homebuyers, invest in job training, & strengthen small businesses. I will also fight to reduce healthcare costs by strengthening the Affordable Care Act, lowering prescription drug prices, expanding Medicaid access, investing in community health centers, and improving maternal & preventive care so families can stay heathy.

TX-CD 38
Occupation
real estate professional
I bring two decades of experience on Capitol Hill as a volunteer lobbyist and nearly 30 years as a real estate professional and brokerage owner. Listening to my clients’ issues, I worked directly with members of Congress in Washington, DC to sponsor legislation addressing their concerns. My advocacy focused on consumer protection, housing affordability, healthcare costs, and veteran’s services. I learned through my advocacy that Democracy is not a red or blue issue; it’s a purple solution; requiring us to work together ensuring checks and balances function at every level of government. My real estate and small business background equips me with strong negotiating skills and a deep understanding of the needs of the people in our district.
First: restore constitutional checks and balances among the three branches of government. No branch should dominate or report to another; each must operate independently and remain accountable to the People of the United States. Achieving this requires strong leadership and a diverse, experienced team committed to actually showing up and doing the work every day.
Second: affordability. Many residents of TX-CD 38 are struggling to afford rent and food. Now, rising healthcare costs are pushing families even further. Voters regularly share copies of their new premiums; many have increased by 400%. Texas already leads the nation in uninsured and underinsured residents. I will work with LHHS appropriations to add a tax credit for insurance.
