What training, experience and background make you the best qualified candidate to be your party’s nominee for this office?
What are the two (2) most pressing issues that you will face in the office that you seek? Describe your specific plans/ideas for addressing these issues.
Compassion and service have guided me since early childhood. After my mother suffered a debilitating stroke when I was three, I was raised in a home defined by caregiving, responsibility, and resilience. That foundation led me to nursing on a medical-surgical unit and later to nearly 20 years of family law practice, where I have represented clients in complex child custody and property matters with diligence, fairness, and care.
Two of the most pressing issues in family court are timely case resolution and accessibility. Timeliness can be improved through clear standing and docket control orders that ensure cases move efficiently toward resolution, reducing unnecessary financial and emotional strain on families and children. Equally important is accessibility, which can be enhanced by implementing online scheduling, transparent docket management, and reliable court availability so family matters are heard promptly and effectively.
I am the best qualified candidate because I am a seasoned attorney and sitting Associate Judge with extensive experience presiding over family law matters. This role has required me to make difficult, high-stakes decisions every day. My judicial training and daily responsibility for managing complex cases have prepared me to serve effectively. I bring proven judicial temperament, legal expertise, and a strong commitment to fairness and integrity.
1. Establishing an Efficient New Court-
As a new court, the 501st must implement strong case management from day one to avoid backlogs that delay justice for families. I will apply proven docket-control practices I use as an Associate Judge including early case assessment, firm scheduling, and timely rulings, while ensuring every party receives due process.
2. Building Public Trust and Consistency-
Because the 501st is new, earning public trust is critical. I will apply the law consistently, evaluate evidence carefully, and treat all litigants with fairness and respect, so the court is viewed as impartial and trustworthy.
