I am qualified because I bring real experience, not political titles. I am a tax accountant and small business owner who manages complex budgets and holds people accountable. I work on a daily with federal and state agencies. Earlier in my career, I supported economic development along with the City of Houston’s tourism and hospitality sector, helping drive revenue and growth. I am a longtime community leader, youth advocate, and mother. I lead with discipline, accountability, and results.
The two biggest issues I will face as County Commissioner are infrastructure accountability and public safety follow through. Precinct 4 has grown fast, but planning has lagged behind. My home flooded during Hurricane Harvey, and years later roads like Harlem Road still flood. That is not bad luck. That is failure to fix the problem. I will not approve development unless drainage and infrastructure are completed first and developers are held responsible. Public safety is next. People are tired of reports with no results and promises with no action. I will demand accountability, faster response times, and measurable outcomes. I am not running to manage excuses. I am running to deliver results
I am the best qualified candidate and resident of Fort Bend County, for over 30 years and served as Precinct Captain, elected Precinct Chair, Director, North Mission Glen MUD board, HOA President of Mission Glen, and Fort Bend County Democratic Party Treasurer. I believe this experience and ongoing work in Precinct 4 demonstrate s why I am the best qualified candidate to continue serving Precinct 4.
I believe the two pressing issues that I will face once elected is redistricting and budget matters. Although safety is paramount and an issue too. First of all, the courts have allowed the 2025, maps be used. There are ongoing lawsuits and court hearings that must be resolved. Once resolved, implement a Redistricting Committee to undertake redistricting matters. Secondly, there is ongoing road construction in Fort Bend County one of the most diverse counties in the U.S., with racial backgrounds to include: white Blace, Asian and Hispanic. I will review the current budget, plan and prepare for what allotted money is required to complete ongoing road construction.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Computer Science, along with professional certifications.
My professional journey spans more than two decades across both the public and private sectors, bringing extensive experience in leadership, operations, and public service.
I currently serve Fort Bend County as Chief Deputy in the District Clerk’s Office for over 4 years, overseeing key operations that ensure efficiency and accountability
Fort Bend County’s rapid growth is straining roads, drainage, public safety, and county services. As commissioner, I will address this through responsible long-term infrastructure planning, close coordination with cities and school districts and smart growth policies. I will ensure that new development pays its fair share rather than shifting costs onto taxpayers.
The second major issue is the loss of public trust in government. I will address this by maintaining an open-door policy, increasing transparency, communicating clearly with residents, and ensuring accountability in every decision made.
Government must serve the people with honesty, respect, and integrity.

1. Transparent governance and accountability: I plan on implementing a county wide audit to ensure our citizens tax dollars are being spent appropriately and to see where we can improve our services to our citizens.
2. Public Safety: As a law enforcement professional, I understand the need of protecting our first responders from leaving to other entities that pay more. I plan to introduce the largest public safety initiative the county has ever seen which includes pay, training, resources and education to all our first responders.
Fort Bend is changing, and I have the experience to lead through it. As the son of Nigerian immigrants who came here to work for a better life, I learned how opportunity is built. I grew up in FBISD schools, earned an MBA from Rice, managed major budgets in health care and consulting, and helped oversee a 2.8 billion dollar county budget and disaster recovery on Judge Lina Hidalgo’s team. I bring disciplined management and a community focus, so we can build a Fort Bend that works for everyone.
The two most pressing issues are the rising cost of insurance and inadequate infrastructure.
Fort Bend has some of the fastest growing insurance rates in the country, driven by rapid development and repeated natural disasters that increase risk and uncertainty. I will push for a reassessment by the Texas Department of Insurance and work with insurers to expand programs that lower premiums based on property resilience and mitigation investments.
At the same time, I will prioritize drainage, flood control, and infrastructure planning, ensuring new development includes proper retention so growth reduces risk rather than shifting costs onto families.
I am a lawyer educated at Spelman College and Thurgood Marshall School of Law, with a career in corporate leadership and public service. Elected to my Municipal Utility District board, I tackled infrastructure challenges and helped pass a bond to secure clean, reliable water. I also served on the Citizens Redistricting Committee, defending fair representation. As a working mom in a military veteran family, I bring disciplined, values-driven leadership rooted in Fort Bend.
1) Flooding and drainage resilience is one of the most pressing challenges in Fort Bend. Aging ditches, clogged storm drains, and rapid development mean even small storms cause repeat flooding. I will prioritize proactive mitigation by improving drainage maintenance, supporting levee upkeep, investing in retention ponds, and coordinating with MUDs and LIDs to prevent building in flood-prone areas. 2) Affordability driven by growth and mobility. Rising taxes, congestion, and long commutes strain families. I will ensure growth pays for growth by accelerating road projects, coordinating with regional partners, and attracting employers to broaden the tax base, reducing the burden on residents.
I’m a former State District Court Judge who managed complex civil and regulatory matters and led reforms that saved public dollars and improved access to justice. As a managing partner and legal executive, I’ve negotiated high‑value agreements and enforced data‑driven accountability, directly relevant to overseeing county budgets and contracts. As the daughter of union parents, I pair technical expertise with a lived commitment to working families and inclusive governance.
Two pressing issues are flooding/mobility and access to healthcare and mental health services.
I will prioritize data‑driven drainage and road projects using updated flood and traffic risk to target the most vulnerable neighborhoods, while publishing simple public reports so residents can track progress.
I will work with Fort Bend Health & Human Services, FQHCs, and hospital systems to expand clinics, EMS capacity, and mobile crisis/mental health teams in high‑need areas, tying county funding to clear performance benchmarks that are reported publicly.
