Piermont’s location alongside the Hudson with the Sparkill running through it, overlooked by Tallman and Clausland mountains creates a uniquely idyllic backdrop for Village life surrounded by nature and natural beauty. The multitude of parks and trails that we have access to, and our creek and riverfront offer a variety of recreational opportunities, and our downtown and pier’s walkability Our proximity to the Tappan Zee and George Washington bridges presents convenient commuter options to major commercial hubs, without compromising our seclusion and peaceful enjoyment of our environment, both natural and built.
As Mayor, I plan to empanel a comp plan update committee to review the recommendations of our recently adopted comprehensive plan and make additional recommendations as to how best address the zoning regulations that govern development, to ensure that new development and redevelopment are in keeping with the distinctive qualities that make Piermont such a special place. Our rich history and eclectic architecture are key to our character and charm, as are our many open green spaces that residents and visitors alike cherish, and must be preserved. Village government’s best tools for ensuring that are zoning regulations and review boards, some of which have been neglected in recent years.
I will develop policies and procedures for updating our new website on an ongoing basis with Village correspondence and utilize electronic messaging to communicate with residents. Supporting documentation for Board deliberations will be provided for review on our website, and agenda items will be more descriptive. Meeting minutes will be verbatim to the extent practicable. All meetings, including budget meetings and workshops, will be noticed. Land use applications and meeting minutes will be uploaded for review in a timely fashion. New business will not be used as a vehicle to bring up votes without opportunity to review relevant materials and seek additional information. Board meetings will be recorded and live-streamed online.
The most important feature of my background that uniquely qualifies me for the position of Mayor is my extensive experience with all aspects of our Village government, from personnel to budgets, to contracts and equipment, and planning and process. I have seen it all, and am ready to do the people’s business on day one.

Piermont is special because it blends small-town charm with a strong sense of community and a stunning natural setting. It’s a village where neighbors look out for one another, where community events bring people together, and where families can feel at home.
Piermont’s character and charm are what make this village such a desirable place to live, and preserving that is at the heart of my candidacy. Growth is inevitable, but it must be thoughtful, transparent, and rooted in our community values.
My approach focuses on three key areas:
1. Community Input First
2. Smart, Scaled Development
3. Stronger Review & Accountability
Transparency and accessibility are central to how I lead and how I will serve as Mayor. Residents deserve to know what decisions are being made, why they are being made, and how they can participate.
1. Open Communication
2. Accessible Meetings
3. Community Engagement
4. Accountability Tools
When residents feel informed and included, we strengthen our community
The most important feature of my background is my proven record of managing complex projects and leading teams in New York City government for over 22 years. I’ve overseen multimillion-dollar contracts, negotiated with vendors, and directed cross-agency initiatives where accountability and results mattered.
For example, at the NYC Office of Technology and Innovation, I managed more than 30 citywide IT contracts that impacted every agency in the city. That required balancing competing priorities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering solutions on time and within budget.
