Pursuant to state law, the revenue raised by the proposed millage will be collected by the intermediate school district and distributed to constituent districts based on pupil membership count. Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in Barry Intermediate School District, Michigan, be increased by 1 mill ($1.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 10 years, 2025 to 2034, inclusive, to provide operating funds to enhance other state and local funding for constituent district operating purposes, including providing funding for (1) student behavioral needs, (2) area career and technical education programs, including for vocational training purposes, and (3) the education of students with a disability; the estimate of the revenue the intermediate school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2025 is approximately $1,494,635, which funds will be disbursed as required by statute to: Delton Kellogg Schools, Hastings Area School System, and Lighthouse Academy.
