Honourable military service. Knowing value of teamwork. Service I have performed already as a non city council member. I am retired and have the time to pursue more city improvements
Water, sidewalks, connecting city citizen involvement
I will put the word out on social media to inform residents of matters they should concern themselves with. Encourage residents to attend their council meetings. What they don’t know could possibly hurt them. Their voice matters. Citizens should get involved

I bring a deep connection to Coopersville, having grown up here, raised my family, and built my life in this community. My education in criminal justice at Grand Valley State University, combined with my internship at the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center, has strengthened my skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. Along with the years of experience in customer service and assisting elderly and disabled individuals, I have developed patience, communication, and the ability to listen - qualities I believe are essential for City Council. I am committed to serving with integrity, representing the voices of my neighbors, and supporting thoughtful growth that keeps Coopersville a welcoming, thriving place for families and businesses alike.
Over the next two years, I believe the top issues for Coopersville will involve maintaining and improving city services, supporting thoughtful growth, and ensuring our community remains safe, welcoming, and vibrant for all residents. Balancing development with the small-town character we value, investing in infrastructure, and listening to the needs of neighbors will be important to making decisions that benefit everyone. I am committed to working collaboratively to address these challenges and help guide Coopersville toward a strong and sustainable future.
I believe the best way to build understanding and support is through open communication and active engagement with residents. I plan to listen to neighbors, provide clear information about city initiatives, and create opportunities for input and feedback. By keeping the community informed and involved, we can work together to address important issues, make thoughtful decisions, and ensure that the voices of Coopersville residents are heard and respected.
